Hail Roof Damage
Golf ball-sized hail can open the ridge and the vents in minutes. We assess and document all damage to the property, roof, gutters, windows and other structures, and tarp what needs tarping right away.

Hail, wind and hurricanes each damage a Texas roof differently. R&S Roofing assesses all three, makes free temporary repairs so the storm does not keep costing you, and documents the damage for your insurance company.

Pick the damage type you are dealing with. Every assessment starts the same way: a roofing professional on your roof, photographing what is actually there before anyone files anything.

Hail damage assessment →Most roofing companies overlook wind damage. We check every slope for breaches on each individual shingle, including damaged shingles you will never spot from the ground.
Wind damage assessment →After a hurricane we make free temporary repairs to cover storm-created openings so further damage to the interior does not occur, then go through the options with you.
Hurricane damage assessment →A storm assessment is not a sales visit with a ladder. An R&S Roofing professional gets on the roof, works through it slope by slope, and comes back down with photographs and a straight answer about what the storm did and what it will take to fix.
The founder of R&S Roofing came out of the insurance industry, and that is the difference homeowners tend to notice. We document the damage before a claim is filed, we go over every option you have so nothing is decided for you, and we work with you and your insurance company to get as much fixed with as little coming directly from your pocket as possible.
If you are at the beginning of that process, our 9-step roof insurance claim and repair guide walks through the order things need to happen in, and roofing and home insurance coverage covers what a Texas policy typically does and does not pay for. Hail is its own animal. The hail roof damage repair and assessment guide covers what an adjuster looks for.
We will send a roofing professional out to assess it, make a free temporary repair, and photograph everything for your claim.
Sometimes the answer is a repair. If the storm only took a section of shingles, residential roof repair is the whole job. Sometimes it is a full new roof installation, and the assessment is what proves it. Either way you get a Texas roof inspection report first. We work from two offices: Katy for Greater Houston, including The Woodlands, and McKinney for Dallas-Fort Worth, including Plano and Wylie.
